It's New Comic Tuesday!!
Introducing CEREMONY, a short comic written by James Mascia and art by Ihor Kalchuck.
Hello, Dren Community!
We are revamping formats here (as I’m sure some of our longtime subscribers will notice. Firstly, we’ve switched over our email service to Substack. It’s a great format for comic creators (and game creators too), as we hope you will see from the format. It also saves all of our posts in a blog-style site, so if you ever needed to look back at one of our posts, it will be accessible.
While we will have our news and updates of our upcoming books, and show you what we have coming to Kickstarter as well, we’re also going to start giving you some fun stuff as well!
Once a month, we’re going to release a free comic here—starting today! These might be some short comics. It might be some old stuff that has been sitting collecting dust on our shelves, it might be some preview pages of our upcoming projects. Our plan is to release a new comic on the first Tuesday of each month!
Once a month, we will also release some RPG supplements—this will start next week. These supplements might be new monsters, a short adventure, a dungeon, NPCs, or anything related to TTRPGing. Our plan is to release these supplements the second Tuesday of every month!
We will also have some exclusive content for our premium subscribers. This stuff will include some behind the scenes content, some NSFW content, special looks at some covers for our work, etc.
The point is, we’re going to be working hard to bring you some cool new content from here on out. So stay tuned, because it’s all awesome!
That being said, we promised you a free comic. Here it is. This is a comic created by James Mascia, featuring some characters from a young adult book he wrote called Island of Dren (wow, it’s almost like that’s where our name comes from). :)
It is a very fantasy-based story, where the two main characters are attempting to catch an animal to bring to their Maturity Day Ceremony, which is essentially a ceremony where children make their transition into adulthood.
The story is written by James Mascia, and the artwork is done by Ihor Kalchuk, who some of you might know as one of the artists for our RPG books.
Without further ado… we say enjoy!
Hope you enjoyed. We will be bringing you more comics and content in the coming weeks and months. So stay tuned!
Oh, and don’t forget…
STAY AWESOME!!!
